Ooooo … What a Little Moonlight Can Do!

Moonlight Threads began as an embroidery business, and we remain embroidery experts. But apparel-decoration techniques have evolved over the years, and we have, too – we’re now also appliqué aficionados, heat-press pros, bling buffs, chenille champs and screen-printing specialists!

Embellishment isn’t limited to clothing anymore, either. In addition to shirts, jackets, caps and uniforms, we’ve also customized backpacks, totes, throws, aprons, dog collars, horse blankets, shoes … If it stays still long enough, we will embellish it!

Embroidery, Monogramming & Personalization

Embroidery is a decoration method using all fill stitching to create a vivid and textured design. It’s perfect for customizing shirts, caps, bags and blankets, and can be combined with other decoration methods for fabulous and fashionable effects. Want to see a sample? Here are some delish designs we did for Plano’s Memorial Bobcats!

Appliqué

Appliqué – also known as tackle twill in uniforms – is made by applying cut pieces of one fabric to another material. Appliqué can give your design boldness, a vintage or varsity look, or texture and detail. Take a look at the amazing appliqué we made for the Argyle Eagles!

Heat-Press Vinyl

Heat pressing applies a cut vinyl image to material using heat transfer. But these aren’t the plastic-y uniform numbers of yesteryear – today’s heat-press vinyl can glitter and sparkle, glow in the dark, look like foil or mirrors, or be holographic! See for yourself – some glamourous glitter shirts we heat-pressed for the Hebron Silver Wings!

Rhinestones

Bling it on with rhinestones! Just about any design can be nudged up to the next level by using colored crystals to create it. Rhinestones are the perfect choice for whenever you need a design to literally dazzle. Check out our bling-alicious work for the Allen Escadrille!

Chenille/Letter-Jacket Patches

Chenille is made with fringed silken thread combined with wool or cotton, and sewn into tight loops for a plush effect. It’s usually used in patches to customize letter jackets or sweaters with name, class year or jersey number, mascot, or other emblems signifying sport or activity participation or achievement.

But patches aren’t just for letter-jackets – we’ve done several for motorcycle clubs, too; and chenille isn’t just for patches – we’ve applied it to other wear to attain a high-end fashion look!

Screen Printing

Screen printing, also known as silk-screening, passes ink through a screen onto material to create an image, and cures it with heat. Screen printing is often the very best choice of apparel-decoration method for extremely complex artwork images – like this gorgeous design we screen printed for the Lovejoy Leopards!

Other Offerings

Moonlight Threads can help with non-thread-y items, too; we’re happy to provide promotional products like custom cups, car flags or even engraved crystal to mark a milestone. Let us know what you want to celebrate, and we’ll help you come up with the perfectly personal way to say YAY!!
